The joint practicum will take place next February in Cadarache. All Master 2 students gather together to perform real research linked practica in small groups. The course is in English under the supervision of some of the local partners and in cooperation with the French host CEA-IRFM.

Joint Practicum 2020
M2 Students (for M1 students see below)
The joint practicum will take place next February in Cadarache. All Master 2 students gather together to perform real research linked practica in small groups mixed with students from the French Fusion Master programmes. The course is in English under the supervision of some of the local partners and in cooperation with the French host CEA-IRFM.
Students work together during two weeks starting on Monday February 17 and ending on Friday February 28. The effective dates of the stay are Saturday February 15 to Saturday February 29. At the end the groups must present their conclusions. The last two days, students from Master 1 join the practicum to attend the presentations and to meet their Master 2 fellow students.
Note that the dates are still to be confirmed. Please do not book any flight or train ticket before you receive an email with information from the organiser: R. Guirlet.
The financial conditions are to be discussed with the programme coordinators or the programme manager.
Arrival
The connections closest to your housing place, Gréoux-les-Bains, are Marseille-Provence airport and the Aix-en-Provence TGV railway station (Marseille Saint-Charles railway station can also be an appropriate arrival point). In addition to more straightforward routes, you are encouraged to look for alternatives such as the following:

From Stuttgart it can be convenient to fly to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and take a TGV train from there to Aix-en-Provence TGV.

From Madrid it can be convenient to fly to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and take a TGV train from there to Aix-en-Provence TGV.

From Ghent and Nancy you should be able to travel by train/TGV.
You will stay in Gréoux-les-Bains. This village is off the main itineraries and public transportation is scarce. You will be given detailed information in due time on the available busses for the airport and railway station to Gréoux-les-Bains.
Please note that public transportation to Gréoux is limited, so before you book flights or train tickets, look up the bus timetables and tell the organiser of the event (R. Guirlet) what you have found.
Return
You will leave Gréoux on the Saturday following your last day in Cadarache. If you want to stay longer in Gréoux, please contact directly the residence management. You are also encouraged to take advantage of the event location to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, before or after the event.
M1 Students
You will join the M2 students on the last day of their stay in Cadarache: February 28. You will attend the presentations on their work and visit the main facilities of IRFM. The effective dates of the stay are Thursday February 27 to Saturday February 29
